Jackrabbit uses phone validation to help you maintain valid phone numbers in your database. US and Canadian databases are defaulted to 'masked' mode. Masked mode formats a phone number as (###)###-#### for consistency. When masking is on and a phone number is entered in an incorrect format, Jackrabbit will highlight the field red and won't allow the number to be submitted or saved. You can turn off masked mode by clicking the Globe icon next to any phone number field. This changes the field to international mode so that Home, Work, and Other phone numbers can be entered with up to 10 characters.
In both masked mode and international mode, a cell phone number can only be 10 digits with no letters or symbols.
