What does 'unapplied', 'unlinked', and or 'uncategorized' mean in Jackrabbit?

These terms are used to indicate when a payment and a fee are not linked with a Category 1. Jackrabbit relies on linking fees and payments to ensure accurate revenue reporting. Fees are assigned Category 1 names; and when payments are made, the payment is applied (or linked) to a fee. The payment takes on the Category 1 of the fee it is applied to and Jackrabbit groups it with other payments that have the same Category 1. When a payment is not linked, it has No Category and is considered uncategorized or unapplied. When a fee is not linked to a payment, we generally refer to it as unlinked.
