Email validation ensures that an email address is correctly formatted (for example, an email address that is missing the @ symbol is incorrectly formatted). When an incorrectly formatted email address is part of a mass email, it can stop the emails from being received. Jackrabbit has email validation in place in a number of areas and will notify you if you attempt to enter an incorrectly formatted email address.
